Reproductive Equity Now Stands with Minnesota and Immigrant Communities
Boston, MA (January 30, 2025) – Taylor St. Germain, Deputy Director for Reproductive Equity Now, released the following statement:
“The past few weeks have been absolutely heartbreaking and infuriating. We are horrified by what is happening in Minneapolis, in major cities across the country, and here in New England. Neighbors are being murdered, families are being separated, children are being taken into detention, and health care is being denied in ICE facilities.
“We want to be clear: reproductive justice demands immigrant justice. Every person deserves the right to make decisions about their bodies, families, and futures on their own terms — without fear and free from state violence.
“Our mission is to advance reproductive equity and justice and eliminate barriers to care so that all people in New England — regardless of immigration status — can access the full spectrum of reproductive health care. We will continue fighting for our immigrant neighbors and building communities where families can thrive. We will not stop until everyone can access equitable health care and live with dignity, safety, and autonomy.”
