Reproductive Equity Now Statement on the Results of the New Hampshire Gubernatorial Race

Reproductive equity advocates recommit to defending abortion access in the Granite State

CONCORD (November 5, 2024) –  Reproductive Equity Now President Rebecca Hart Holder today released the following statement after Joyce Craig conceded to Kelly Ayotte in the 2024 New Hampshire gubernatorial race.

“While Kelly Ayotte’s shifting record on abortion rights does not instill confidence in her commitment to defending access to abortion care, now that she will be serving in the Corner Office, it is her responsibility to earn Granite Staters’ trust and honor her word to protect their rights and bodily autonomy,” said Rebecca Hart Holder, President of Reproductive Equity Now. “Regardless, the work of defending abortion access and expanding reproductive equity in New Hampshire continues. Abortion remains legal in the state, however, Granite Staters must remain vigilant in the fight for bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom. We look forward to continuing to defend and expand reproductive equity in New Hampshire during the 2025 legislative session, and invite Governor-elect Ayotte to join us at the table to ensure that all Granite Staters can access comprehensive reproductive and sexual health care on their own terms.”

Reproductive Equity Now launched operations in New Hampshire in September of 2023. In July of 2024, Reproductive Equity Now published a New Hampshire voter guide highlighting the voting records of New Hampshire politicians serving in the state legislature and Executive Council, and helping users understand the state of reproductive health care access in the Granite State.
