Statement on Representative Christine Barber’s Victory in the 34th Middlesex District Primary
BOSTON, Mass.– Rebecca Hart Holder, Executive Director of NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts, the Commonwealth’s leading pro-choice political advocacy organization, issued the following statement on Representative Christine Barber’s victory in the 34th Middlesex District primary:
“I am thrilled that Representative Barber will continue to serve the people of the 34th Middlesex District and the entire Commonwealth. She has fought so hard for the women and families of her district, and I’m excited to watch her continue to take on big fights and win.
“Representative Barber is one of the most effective reproductive freedom champions on Beacon Hill because of her health care policy expertise and activist mindset. We need her leadership in the Legislature now more than ever. She has been an important strategic partner in removing barriers to abortion care and I am excited that we can continue to work with her to pass the ROE Act. ”
