Building a regional movement for reproductive health care access
We’re taking the fight for reproductive equity
to Connecticut and New Hampshire.
State-by-state to
build regional power.
This is a moment of crisis. Following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade in June 2022, anti-abortion extremists have dramatically and devastatingly altered the abortion landscape nationwide.
Now, our strategies to protect and expand access to care must change, too. State-by-state work to build regional power is how we will win.
It’s going to take all of us mobilizing and organizing to build a future where reproductive equity is a reality for all. We are asking you to join us in this fight today.
About Our Expansion
For nearly 50 years, Reproductive Equity Now has engaged in local organizing and local advocacy to create statewide change in Massachusetts. Our organization’s work and track record focuses on removing barriers to abortion and other types of reproductive health care so that all people can access the care they want and need, regardless of their race, ethnicity, income, zip code, gender, age, immigration status, ability, sexual orientation, or religion. Advancing reproductive justice and eliminating barriers to safe, legal abortion care are central to our mission.
What has become abundantly clear since the fall of Roe is that protecting and expanding abortion access is a state-by-state, voter-by-voter grassroots battle. Now, as 20 states have moved to restrict or ban abortion following the fall of Roe v. Wade, wiping out access to care in broad regions of our country, we must focus on state-by-state work to build a regional block for abortion access — right here in New England.
Today, Reproductive Equity Now is excited to announce our official expansion into New Hampshire and Connecticut. As we continue our work to advance reproductive equity in Massachusetts, we see immediate opportunity for impact in both the Granite and Nutmeg states. Advancing reproductive equity across New England will improve access to care not only in New Hampshire and Connecticut, but in Massachusetts as well. This expansion reflects the urgency we face in demanding, protecting, and expanding abortion access and reproductive equity for everyone.
Massachusetts has served as a proving ground for what is possible. Now, we are taking our legislative, coalition-building, and organizing expertise and sharing it across the region to ensure New England remains a beacon for reproductive freedom in a post-Roe world. We’re excited to have you join us on this mission.
