Introducing Our 2025 Gala Honorees

Exemplifying trailblazing work in support of reproductive equity across New England

2025 HONOREE

Reproductive Equity Now will continue to protect the identity of Massachusetts telehealth abortion providers.

Massachusetts Shield Law

Abortion Providers

In 2022, Massachusetts passed a best-in-the-nation shield law to protect abortion providers who offer care to out-of-state patients, regardless of the patient’s location.

Since this law passed, and with the support of Repro Equity Now’s Abortion Legal Hotline, Massachusetts abortion providers have bravely provided telehealth medication abortion care to thousands of patients in banned or restricted states every single month.

At this year’s Gala, you will hear directly from these providers about their life-saving work and why they persist in the face of serious risks to their personal safety.

2025 HONOREE

CT Attorney General William Tong

Connecticut Attorney General William Tong knows what it takes to go on offense to protect and expand abortion care.

This past year, Attorney General Tong partnered with the Reproductive Equity Now Foundation to launch the Connecticut Abortion Legal Hotline, a free and confidential resource to connect patients and providers with pro bono legal advice.

In a second Trump administration, Attorney General Tong is the fearless leader we need to push back against a far-right, anti-abortion agenda.

2025 HONOREE

Heather and Sabrine Keane

Creators of Preconceived

We are proud to honor Heather and Sabrine Keane, creators of Preconceived, a documentary on the national network of anti-abortion centers. Anti-abortion centers, which outnumber legitimate abortion clinics in New England 3-to-1, are facilities that often pretend to offer the full spectrum of reproductive equity health, when in reality, they may exist to dissuade people from accessing abortion care.

Preconceived has been critical to Reproductive Equity Now’s efforts to educate New England residents on the often deceptive practices of anti-abortion centers.

2025 HONOREE

Connecticut Sun

Ellen Paradise Fisher Activism in Action Award Recipient

Connecticut’s WNBA team, the Connecticut Sun, knows that reproductive health care is community care. This past summer, the Connecticut Sun selected Reproductive Equity Now as their beneficiary organization for the Commissioner’s Cup Tournament, resulting in over $10,000 raised for abortion access and reproductive freedom advocacy in New England. The Sun have also partnered with maternal health groups across Connecticut to raise awareness about barriers to care and ways that people can obtain resources and support.

We are proud to honor the team’s commitment to reproductive equity as this year’s Ellen Paradise Fisher Activism in Action Award Recipient.

We’re Breaking Down Barriers Across New England

This year, Reproductive Equity Now passed creative and strategic laws to expand access to the full spectrum of reproductive health care across the Northeast, built resources that meet the needs of underserved communities, and fought back against anti-abortion extremism.

We’re working in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Connecticut to build a regional bloc for abortion access—and we hope you’ll join us.
