The Boston Business Journal has named its Power 50: Movement Makers, an annual list of Boston-area businesspeople who are making the biggest impact on the region.

Altruism and a drive toward a more diverse and inclusive region are again central to the Business Journal’s Power 50 list. They’re as likely to be people who’ve started small companies that are making an outsized difference in their communities as they are to be executives at larger companies or CEOs.

This year’s honorees will be celebrated at an event scheduled for Nov. 16 at Tuscan Kitchen in the Seaport. A special section of the Journal’s print edition will feature the honorees on Nov. 18.
