Reproductive Equity Now Celebrates $2 Million Delivered to Protect Access to Reproductive Health Care in Massachusetts
Yesterday, the Governor’s Office delivers FY26 budget funding to Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts
BOSTON (July 25, 2025) – Reproductive Equity Now President, Rebecca Hart Holder, released the following statement after Governor Maura Healey, House Speaker Ron Mariano, and Senate President Karen Spilka announced that they are delivering $2 million in state funding to Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts amidst the Trump Administration’s attacks on reproductive health care clinics nationwide.
“The Healey-Driscoll Administration is taking necessary and critical action to swiftly distribute earmarked funds to Planned Parenthood as they face the devastating impacts of the Trump Administration’s budget reconciliation bill. These block grant funds, appropriated by the Legislature for FY26, will be a critical lifeline to ensure Planned Parenthood can continue to provide the preventive care and reproductive health services that patients across our commonwealth want and need. At a time when reproductive health care access is under relentless attack from the federal government, this is what real state leadership looks like — and we’re proud to see the Governor and Legislature taking bold action to protect reproductive freedom and support our providers.”
