Here are a few key New England state policies to watch right now:
In Massachusetts, legislation is pending to ensure medication abortion is available on all public college campuses.
In New Hampshire, legislation is pending to mitigate the harm caused by New Hampshire’s 24-week abortion ban and create exceptions to the ban for fatal fetal diagnoses.
In Vermont, voters will cast their ballots on a referendum this November to enshrine "personal reproductive liberty” in the state constitution.
In Rhode Island, legislation is pending to allow for state Medicaid coverage for abortion care.
In Connecticut, the Governor signed legislation to update state law and regulation to allow advanced practice clinicians to perform aspiration abortions, and to protect patients, providers and any CT support networks and individuals from out-of-state overreach or interference.
