NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts PAC Endorses Jarred Rose
BOSTON, Mass – Today, the NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts PAC, the political arm of the Commonwealth’s leading grassroots pro-choice advocacy organization, announced the endorsement of Jarred Rose for the Norfolk, Bristol, and Plymouth District State Senate seat. Rose’s vocal support for reproductive freedom and expanded access to abortion care in Massachusetts earned him the endorsement.
“Jarred Rose will bring much needed change for the constituents of the Norfolk, Bristol and Plymouth Senate District,” said Rebecca Hart Holder, Executive Director of NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts. “The women and families of this district need a leader. Someone who will stand up and fight for them, not a politician who actively works to undermine their access to reproductive health care. Jarred will push for progress on Beacon Hill that will ensure his constituents have access to the essential reproductive health care services they need and deserve.”
Rose is running against longtime incumbent, Senator Walter Timilty. In 2019, Senator Timilty joined four noted anti-choice state Senate colleagues to vote against H3638, legislation that provided emergency family planning funding – funding for birth control, cancer screenings, and well-woman exams – after the Trump administration enacted a gag rule that jeopardized access to reproductive health care services for approximately 1.6 million Americans and 66,000 Bay Staters.
“I’m proud to receive the endorsement of the NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts PAC,” said Jarred Rose. “I want the women and families of this district to know that they can count on me to ensure that birth control, abortion care, and the full-spectrum of reproductive health care options will remain safe and accessible. Senator Timilty has laid down and allowed attacks on reproductive freedom to go unchecked. I will stand up and fight back.”
