Kate Glynn

Kate first joined Reproductive Equity Now in May of 2023 as a social work intern and is now the organization’s Research & Policy Advisor. Kate leads Reproductive Equity Now’s Regional Initiative for Contraceptive Access Implementation, where she conducts an assessment of the obstacles to the implementation of contraceptive access laws across New England and works with stakeholders to implement these policies.

Kate graduated with a masters in social work from the BU School of Social Work in 2024 where she focused on policy and reproductive justice. While at BU, she was part of a team who designed a course called ‘Social Work and Reproductive Justice’ which is now a permanent part of the curriculum. Along with other community work, Kate spent 10 years volunteering with the Abortion Rights Fund of Western Massachusetts. Before making the career switch, Kate owned two children’s retail stores in Northampton, MA where she taught families about babywearing and cloth diapering, and shared her favorite children’s books and wooden toys. Kate lives in Western Massachusetts with her dog, Frederick, and her cat, Ellie, who always seems to get second billing.
