Join Reproductive Equity Now and MV Swell for a presentation of The Turnaway Play featuring the Island Theatre Workshop. Inspired by the revelatory Turnaway Project, a 10-year scientific research project led by MacArthur fellow Dr. Diana Greene Foster, the play brings to life stories of women who were denied access to abortion care while exploring the essential question: What happens to a person who wants an abortion but cannot get one? 

There will be a panel discussion following the presentation of the play.

This event is a collaborative fundraiser benefiting both Reproductive Equity Now Foundation and Martha's Vineyard Sexual Wellness (MV SWELL). Net proceeds from the event will be shared equally between the two 501(c)(3) organizations. After payment of any event-related expenses, the remaining funds will be distributed on a 50/50 basis to support each organization's charitable mission and programs.
