Hart Holder: A Letter to the reproductive Equity Now Community

Dear Reproductive Equity Now community,

I have some personal news to share. After more than nine years with this extraordinary organization, I’ve made the difficult and bittersweet decision to transition out of my role as President of Reproductive Equity Now. This decision has not been an easy one; this work has been so deeply personal to me for nearly a decade.

But I am stepping away knowing the organization is in an incredibly strong position, with trusted, values-driven leadership and a clear path forward. Reproductive Equity Now is prepared to meet this moment and continue delivering state-led impact across New England and beyond.

When I joined Reproductive Equity Now in 2017, we were a small but mighty team of five, working day and night to protect access to abortion care in Massachusetts. Together, we built something far bigger than any one person. Over the years, Reproductive Equity Now has grown into a regional powerhouse for reproductive equity, helping not only defend access to care but expand it across New England and beyond, even in the face of unprecedented national attacks.

My last day with Reproductive Equity Now will be February 27, 2026. After that, two of our trusted senior leaders, Taylor St. Germain and Claire Teylouni, will serve as Co-Interim Executive Directors as our board identifies long-term leadership plans. I have complete confidence in Taylor and Claire, and in the integrity, thoughtfulness, and courage they bring to this moment. Their leadership gives me tremendous hope for what comes next.

While I may be transitioning to my next fight, the mission of Reproductive Equity Now remains unchanged: to advance reproductive equity and ensure access to care for every person across New England. I hope you will continue to stand with this organization, support its leadership, and help fuel the next chapter of this work.

Thank you for trusting me, for building alongside me, and for standing so fiercely in this fight. I will always carry this community with me.

With deep gratitude,

Becca
